Since 2003 I have studied the Toltec teachings of don Miguel Ruiz and his family. During this time I have participated in multiple workshops led by the Ruiz family, including journeys to Teotihuacan. I was Gaya Jenkin’s (wife of don Miguel) apprentice for a number of years. She placed the flame of unconditional love in my heart, and my work is to carry it forward. Her message to me was “don’t judge, just love.” After her passing she came to visit me in the form of a falcon. Following the message of the falcon I was led to Teotihuacan where I encountered her son at the top of the pyramid of the moon. When I walked over to introduce myself, he told me that he was carrying his mother’s ashes. In an impromptu ceremony, we released some of her ashes from atop the ancient pyramid. I knew then that Mama Gaya was still guiding me.
I also studied Mexica-Toltec dreaming and healing practices for four years with Sergio Magaña. Sergio is a Mexican mystic and teacher who travels the world sharing this ancient knowledge. It was during my work with Sergio that I was introduced to the obsidian mirror. Working with the obsidian mirror healed and transformed some of the beliefs I was still holding onto.
Eventually friends and acquaintances began asking me to teach them how to work with the obsidian mirror. This is how I first began doing workshops. To this day, the obsidian mirror workshops continue to call to individuals who are ready to take a deep look at the patterns, beliefs, and stories that are holding them back from true freedom and joy.
My interest in working with energy led me to a two year apprenticeship with Lynda Caesara, master energy worker. This training honed my skills in sensing and interpreting energy; using my intuition; grounding and holding space; and perceiving and interpreting dreams.
I am also an experienced coach, having worked as a professional development coach for teachers for over 10 years. After working with teachers, I broadened my coaching repertoire by earning a Life, Spiritual, and Energetic Coaching certificate from Artist of the Spirit Coach Training Program. This is a coaching program based in Toltec spirituality.
In addition, I am a practitioner of curanderismo with the Kalpulli Teocalii Ollin. This is a group of healers who follow the Mexica tradition of spiritual and folk medicine from the lineage of Maestra CC and her grandmother Casimira Rocha y Sanchez.
As an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church, I can perform wedding ceremonies.
